Jimmy Pine, also known in gambling circles as "Young Jimmy Dime," is a stocky former singer with an unusual resemblance to Tom Jones. He's also a known card counter and master blackjack player. In fact, he's so good that he's not welcome in most Las Vegas casinos. Upon entering a casino, he is most often tracked by security and asked to leave of he attempts to sit down at a blackjack table.
He is a resident of Rhode Island and can often be found gambling at the Mohegan Sun. A life-long gambler, Jimmy has played in numerous blackjack tournaments, once winning $100,000 in one competition. He has also finished 3rd in the World Series of Blackjack, taking home $25,000 for his troubles.
A man who loves the underdog, Jimmy is known to yell out his catchphrase "Pay the little man" whenever a player beats the house. His nickname Young Jimmy Dime was given to him by Italian friends from back East. And although he doesn't have a traditional 9 to 5 job, Jimmy has been living the life of a high roller for well over 20 years.
He competed on the 2nd episode of CBS's The Ultimate Blackjack Tour airing weekly on CBS. His competition will included James Grosjean, Joanna Wlodawer, Robert Blechman, Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari, Eric Bloore, and David Matthews.
