Blackjack Hero Relaunch

After many years, we’ve decided to bring back the original Blackjack Hero guide and Blackjack Hero Blog. The blog itself has over 600 articles related to the game. Many of these are “timeless” meaning they are just as useful today as they were a few years ago and will still be useful even 100 years from now because it’s based on the mathematics of the game.

We’ve updated the design of Blackjack Hero and the blog, which are now “mobile friendly”. This means you can use our site on the go using a mobile device such as an iPhone or other cellphone, iPad, tablet or any other device!

We recommend using the search box on the left side of this page to find articles related to the topic you are looking for. We recommend also viewing our homepage as well to read the general guides, basic strategy guide, card counting systems and player biographies.

The casinos listed on Blackjack Hero are only the most trusted available, only those who have been giving the blessings and good reviews from Casino Meister. Casino Meister is known in the online gambling industry for checking casinos to make sure they are safe and they point out the bad ones as well. We only display the safest casinos, yet the most popular ones for blackjack. All casinos listed here are US-friendly, so players based in the US can deposit money using a credit card and simply play!

Indian Casinos

A little something called Sovereignty is what makes it possible for Indian Tribes to set up shop almost anywhere they want. Webster defines this word as the inherent authority of indigenous tribes to govern themselves within the borders of the US. So it only makes sense that they would take advantage of this perk.

What does this mean for the rest of us? Well that these Indian Casinos can mostly likely have whatever payout percentage they want because they may be the only casino around for hundreds of miles. Although this is starting to change as more and more states are opening their own state-run casinos. States like Ohio and Maryland have already started this expansion, and many more states are coming around like Delaware and Massachusetts.

Another big boom in the industry is the presence of online casinos. Many states are also starting to get regulation privileges for gaming and betting online. The thing about online gambling is that the casinos have their rating and payout percentage on hundreds of review sites across the internet so you can scan through and find the one with the best rates. Whereas for land casinos it might be time consuming to travel around to all casinos in your area and pick the one with the best payout percentage.

The closest casino to my house is about 300 miles away, and it is an Indian Casino. Although I don’t know of my site constructing any non-Indian land casinos, I still prefer to play online. There are many benefits, and if you haven’t tried it I definitely suggest you do, they’ll give you free money just to try it out.

Tipping the Dealer

You probably have heard me talk about my love for blackjack time and time again. I love anything having to do with blackjack. The dealer, whether real or virtual, the smell of the deck, the sound of chips being tossed together.

Being in an actual casino has its many benefits, as does playing online. When playing online you do not have to worry about tipping the dealer, but when playing in a brick and mortar casino you want to make sure to treat the dealer in a proper manner.

Nothing frustrates me more than playing blackjack with a bunch of uneducated rookies. I don’t mind a rookie, someone willing to be taught. But someone who thinks they have it all figured out, it just really chaps my you know what. Here are just simple tips that I use for tipping the dealer, but you can find many different ways of tipping with a simple google search.

Now be weary that although tipping is encouraged, no dealer is going to fault you for not tipping if you lose. But, if you have a nice run from the dealer it’s nice to show him your appreciation. I like to tip around one to two dollars per hand if I’m playing at a lower end table. If I’m playing at a $50 minimum table then I tip five dollars a game.

Use these dealers though, they want you to win. They’ll tell you what to do if you ask. After all they are making the same wage whether the casino takes you money or not, but if you happen to win they know they will benefit from a nice tip from you.

Playing Blackjack Online

When it comes to playing blackjack online there are several options to consider. It really all depends on where you are and where you would like to play. If you are looking to play at a Canadian casino, you are in luck; plenty of them have been popping up lately. The newest Province to get in on the action is the Province of Manitoba.

According to an article on http://www.cbc.ca/news/ the lotteries minister for Manitoba, Steve Ashton promises that the Province will have a website up and running by next year which will provide poker and other online casino games. This will happen so quickly because the casino will partner with a site already run by the Province of British Columbia.

The reason for this online casino adventure? Ashton says that Manitobans have been spending $37 annually at unregulated casino websites, so they are looking forward to keeping that money inside their Province, for their own Government.

This is a great concept, and one that other regions should also adopt. The US is missing out on millions of dollars that is being spent at off shore online casinos. Online gambling experts like Nelson Rose have voiced this several times in the past and it might seem like all of this lobbying is finally getting the US Government or change their minds. It is one way to earn more money to combat gambling addictions and child gambling.

So when choosing where to play blackjack there are of course plenty of options to choose from. Where to play, what kind to play? I personally prefer Playtech Blackjack no matter where I choose to play. But it is all up to what kind of game you want to play.

Where to play blackjack

When you decide that you want to play blackjack online there are many different aspects you must look into. The most important is if the site is licensed, and if so, where is it licensed from? Some of my favorite casinos have licenses from the UK Gambling Commission, Curacao, and Antigua. After all, Antigua is the birthplace of online gambling.

Another thing to consider is the casino software that is used. Make sure that the software comes with random number generation or RNG to ensure that the games are completely random and fair. Blackjack is a great game with a fantastic mixture of chance and luck; make sure you are making as much money as possible from the game.

Also playing casino games online is supposed to be fun. When it stops being fun, and more of a chore there may be a problem. The best way to prevent this is by stopping it before it starts. I like the site gamcare.org.uk. This site is one of the best, if not the best gambling addiction sites on the web. Although I don’t feel as though I have a problem, I don’t want to ever have one. I like to visit this site every once and while to read up on the latest research and exercises that are available.

Okay, I’m off my soap box. I just feel that these are some of the most important things to consider when making decisions about gambling online and where  to play blackjack.

What Not To Do In Blackjack

There are many experts out there who want to tell you everything you are supposed to do in a game of blackjack, but I am here to tell you what not do in blackjack. Blackjack is perhaps the best game at the casino because it is a perfect combination of skill and chance. There are many tactics to use, and not use during your game; let’s sort through these tips and tricks.

First of all do not underestimate the power of your gut instinct. Many experts want to over complicate the game and give you advice about all of the aspects of the game you need to pay attention to, and these are important. It is also important to recognize the simplicity of the game and not get too overwhelmed.

Do not forget that you are playing against the dealer. The dealer wants the casino to win; therefore modeling your behavior after the dealer will not bode well for you.

Do not use insurance unless you count cards. Insurance only benefits card counters because you do not want to use it unless you are certain that you do not have a winning hand.

Don’t forget about the surrender option, but also be very selective when using it. Only use it if you have a nine or ten and your cards total 15 or 16, and the dealer also has a nine or ten.

And finally don’t go into a blackjack game without knowing the rules. Whether you are playing in Vegas or at casino.com be certain that you know all of the rules and regulations of your particular game. Every blackjack game is different, be sure you know how to play yours.

Gambling on Facebook

Do you enjoy playing blackjack online? Do you enjoy getting on social media sites such as Facebook? What if the two were combined? That’s right; your favorite social media site is gearing up to start offering online gambling to their users in the UK. They are using the UK as a starting point because online wagering is far more accepted there than any other place in the world. The government is very much involved, and Facebook sees it as a great way to expand their brand.

Now if you use Facebook you may have seen various applications that allow you to play certain types of casino games, this is quite different. These are actual casinos that use real money. There are over 20 different websites looking to team up with the popular social media site, the two front runners being 888 and Gamesys. Facebook is working diligently trying to work out negotiations with several gambling sites and experts.

One aspect that is keeping Facebook from making any decisions at the moment is age verification. The company works hard to provide a safe and secure atmosphere for teenagers and adults, and certain credits claim that the addition of gambling on the site will be detrimental. While others argue that if a person is old enough to read then they have surely been exposed to gambling, sex, and others of the sort.

Rest assured that Facebook will only be working with the best online casinos. Would you play blackjack on Facebook? Many speculate that the site has run out of all other revenue opportunities, what do you think?

Blackjack at Lucky Red

[insert_php]include(“../links.php”);[/insert_php]
One of my favorite casinos online is Lucky Red. I love playing blackjack at this casino; I have for many years now. I have wanted to write a review about it for a while now, because I feel so strongly about how great it is. This site is great for a number of different reasons, but the most important one is the high payout percentage as well as the attractive hit frequency. There are over 95 different slot games and 60 specialty games.

The fact that Lucky Red uses RealTime Gaming software makes it that much more superior than the rest of the online casinos. Download takes under two minutes, and the flash version is available immediately. One of the best things about RTG is it is embedded with Random Number Generation.

There are around 5 different blackjack games to choose from including: BJ and Perfect Pairs, Face Up21, Match Play21, Pontoon and Super21. Their welcome bonus is currently fixed at 400% with no limit. What this means is your first deposit will be matched 400x with absolutely no limit to how much you can deposit. This is very unique for online casinos to do, there is almost always a limit to this bonus.

With the great payout percentage, hit frequency, welcome bonus, and fantastic games it is no surprise that [insert_php]echo $casino4name;[/insert_php] ranks among the best online casinos on the internet. Give their blackjack tables a try, you will not be disappointed. I hope you have enjoyed my review. I will be back to review some more of my favorite places to play blackjack online.

Different Blackjack Games

There are so many different forms of blackjack that playing online can be beneficial because you can go through all of the different games and pick the one which you prefer. Each game has its own set of rules and regulations and it is very important to play by these rules to ensure the best results. I enlisted Wikipedia to help me with my search to find the best blackjack game for my lifestyle.

First there is American Blackjack which is typically played with four decks of cards and the dealer must hit on a soft 17. As a player you can double down on any two cards and only split an ace once.

European Blackjack is played with two decks and a player san only split once whether it is an ace of not. If both the player and dealer have blackjack the game is a push.

Blackjack Switch is played with two hands at once and the player has the option to interchange the cards dealt to each hand.

Double Exposure is mostly the same rules as American except the dealer’s first two cards are dealt face-up.

Caribbean 21 is the exact same rules except the goal is 31 instead of 21.

Spanish 21 is a little bit different in the fact that there are an unlimited amount of double downs and you have the option to rescue and surrender, which is sometimes not available in certain blackjack games.

There are just a few choices to get you started on your hunt, my favorite is Double Exposure, but try them all out for yourself.

The Difference Between Online Gambling and Online Gaming

Do you know the difference between online gaming and online gambling? Many people use the two words interchangeably but they really are two completely different things. I’m going to go over some of the specific details that set these two activities apart.

Online Gaming is defined as playing a game online without making a wager. While Online Gambling is defined as playing a game online with wagers, whether it is with real money or funny money. So when you are playing that flash trial version of blackjack online you are actually participating in Online Gambling.

Online Gaming can be mulit-player, single-player or role-playing and involves some sort of internet connection. There are several Online Gaming communities that have grown quite large over the years such as World of War craft and Dungeons and Dragons. These games are fun because people can play with each other from all over the world.

Online Gambling can also be multi-player but you are not necessarily playing against the other players, unless it is Poker that you are playing. For instance, there could be several others at the blackjack table but you are all only competing against the house.

Gaming usually charges a fee to participate in the game while Gambling requires a deposit that you could potentially win more money from.

Online gambling and participating in an online game do have a couple similarities. Both use flash and media to keep the player visually stimulated. The two might even merge in the coming years. Slot machines being developed these days are much more interactive and game-like.
