Slot machines, blackjack and poker are only permitted in the state’s Indian casinos and in the city of Deadwood. By far, Deadwood has the most gaming in the state (so much so that it has its own entry).
State law originally limited blackjack bets to a maximum of $5. In 2000, it was changed to a maximum of $100.
The legal gambling age for casinos is 21. For bingo, the legal age is 18. Children can enter the casino, and kids are even allowed to stand next to their parents while they gamble.
Outside of Deadwood, your best bet for blackjack is the Royal River Casino and Hotel. Located in Flandreau, South Dakota, they offer 8 blackjack tables to play on.
